Tandlachi Bhakri

Introduction:

Tandalachi bhakri is prepared using rice flour. It is very popular in coastal part of Maharashtra where rice is grown abundantly. It goes really well with non veg curry like Chicken, fish, mutton. So enjoy this another Konkani recipe,

Ingredients:

  • Rice flour
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Take rice flour in a deep bowl, to that  add salt to taste. Add hot boiling water, mix well.
  • Now start to knead dough to make if soft and smooth. Make sure to knead it well for at least 4 to 5 mts.
  • Divide dough in small balls. Take one dough ball, deep in dry rice flour, dust some dry rice flour on rolling board and start patting bhakri using palms of your have.
  • Place bhakri over hot skillet facing the side upward on which we apllied rice flour .
  • Roast from both the sides until it gets light brown spots.
  • Take out from skillet and roast on a direct stove top.
  • Serve hot with a dollop of ghee or butter over it.

Tips:
  • If you are not comfortable with patting bhakri you can also roll it like regular roti.
  • Use fine variety of rice flour for better use.
