Introduction:
If you are tired of your regular aloo matar or matar curry then this is good alternative to your regular meal. Try this out dry version of matar masala which is great option for your lunch box.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup Matar Masala
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Hing / Asafetida
- Curry Leaves
- 1 Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Maharashtrian Goda Masala
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- Jaggery
- Salt for taste
- 1 tbsp Roasted Peanut Powder
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
Method
- Heat up oil in the pan
- Once oil is hot then add mustard seeds and let it crackle.
- Add Cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves and finely chopped onions
- Mix and cook it till onion gets light golden color
- Add ginger garlic paste, goda masala, red chili powder, jaggery and mix it well. Cook it for 2~3 mins
- Add green peas and give a good mix
- Add salt and add some water and cook it for 4~5 mins covered
- Add roasted peanut powder, lemon juice and give it mix. Cook it for 4~5 mins uncovered
- Matar masala is ready to serve
